What is cosmetic grade glitter?

Cosmetic glitter is made from polyester that is cut into finely milled particles typically sized .008 or smaller. The material and smaller size makes it safer for body art as opposed to regular or craft glitter. Craft glitter is typically cut from glass or metallic material, is much larger than .008. Craft glitter feels scratchy on the skin and can cause severe damage if it gets in the eye. Please make sure to use the right equipment and materials for the job.
